This online Ed Tech workshop will show practical ways to personalize lessons using NotebookLM. It introduces educators to simple and effective methods for using AI to create customized class materials. Participants will learn how to design lesson content that fits different learner needs and adjust difficulty levels without relying on advanced technical skills. The session also provides clear classroom examples and demonstrates how NotebookLM can help teachers quickly produce useful and engaging materials. The tool is currently free for anyone with a Google account, making it easy to try and explore.
Speaker Bio:
Sarina Sugawara is an adjunct faculty member at Akita Prefectural University. Her research interests include instructional design for university language education, CBI, educational technology, international relations, and data analysis. Her current projects include work on AI‑based text analysis and the development of custom AI‑generated materials to enhance CBI for STEM learners, especially for science university students.
